On Saturday 5 July we went ahead with our annual prayer for Ukraine - to bring an end to the war - in the October Palace situated in the Government District of Kyiv. The prestigious venue was filled to the rafters, not a spare seat anywhere. But only 30 minutes into the prayer our organiser Vadim was told the air alarm had sounded, two hypersonic missiles were on their way…
In June I was invited as the key speaker to the all-Kazakh inter-confessional Pastors ‘Kurultai’ or spiritual council. Pastors came from as far as 3500 km away and brought their people with them. I spent 3 days ministering to Kazakh Pastors and Leaders from this vast country – over-lapping with 2 days ministering to their Kazakh Youth – 4 nights in total, with evangelism each evening advertised on the internet, bringing in more people! There was great joy in the cultural worship in the first 2 days, and the youth meetings were literally bursting with energy!
At the beginning of May we brought 1000 Adjaran Georgians together in an hotel ballroom in Batumi for 3 days and David preached Jesus to them – the Jesus whom the Koran calls ‘Isa Messih’ – but who is alive today in power! Rarely have we experienced His actual Presence in our midst as we did in the large Conference Centre we hired for these days. When David prayed for the sick, so many miracles happened – which was the evidence to these Moslems that the Isa of the Koran is the Jesus of the Bible who is alive today – as only He can work these miracles! Men, women, old and young eagerly came to the platform to share their amazing stories in front of all their friends and relatives!
David has just spent four days on the Ukrainian frontline. In Kharkiv and Donetsk regions we visited villages destroyed by the Russian army, met with the people still living there, and with military at their posts. We brought humanitarian packages for the needy, and practical gifts to assist the military. And most importantly, David brought a message of encouragement to all, preaching Christ and praying with the physically and emotionally sick. On the Sunday 500 packed the church in Slovyansk.
The Spirit of God is moving in Power! As well as the unbelievers who packed the meetings, leaders from all Azerbaijan and also from Georgia and Central Asia attended. We all sense a powerful revival is breaking out in the whole of this vast and neglected region and, together, we are uniting our efforts and acting fast - whilst the door is open.
On Sunday 15 September, unbelieving Kazakhs filled the building, having travelled from all over the vastness of Kazakhstan, some more than 2,000 miles, by plane, by train, by bus, accompanied by believers who had invited them. Rarely have we been in such a vibrant, receptive, joy-filled, Spirit-filled meeting! Kazakhs poured forward to receive Christ in response to David’s Gospel message, and miracles of healing happened all over the building. God’s Power was unrestricted!
